The annual meetings of IAPWS will be held from September 12-17, 2021, in a web conference format.

The chair of our association, Prof. Masaru Nakahara (Kyoto University) has been appointed as the President of the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS).

The IAPWS Executive Committee Meetings were held in a web conference format this year on September 11, 2020 Japan time.

The 2020 IAPWS Annual Meeting, which was scheduled to be held in Turin, Italy, was canceled due to the impact of the new coronavirus infection.

As of April 1, 2020, this association was newly established as an organization that inherits the business of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, the 139th Committee of the University-Industry Cooperative Research Committees, whose installation period has expired at the end of the fiscal year 2019.
